La Sportiva TX5 Evo Mid GTX in Carbon/Yellow is a men’s mid-cut hiking boot designed for long hikes, technical trekking and approaches with a heavier backpack. This model combines the DNA of hiking footwear and approach shoes, delivering stability, protection and reliable grip on varied terrain. The nubuck leather upper is reinforced with a protective rubber toe cap, while the mid-cut construction offers added ankle support on rocky trails, uneven ground and mountain paths.
The boot features a GORE-TEX® ePE Extended Comfort lining for waterproof protection and strong breathability during demanding outdoor activities. An approach-inspired lacing system helps create a precise, supportive fit, while the 3D Flex EVO™ system is designed to support natural ankle mobility and better step control. Medial and lateral STB Control inserts add stability, which is especially valuable on technical sections and during trekking with a loaded pack.
Comfort is enhanced by the Ortholite® Hybrid™ insole, made from breathable and durable PU foam with recycled rubber and production waste content. The midsole uses compression molded EVA with recycled material, and the Resole Platform™ is designed to extend the life of the footwear through resoling by an approved cobbler. Underfoot, the Vibram® Megagrip™ outsole works with the Impact Brake System™ lug pattern to improve traction and help reduce impact forces.
